Rev. Davewin C. Thomas has served the Jamaica Baptist Union for over four decades, including two terms as Vice President and one as President-Elect. He has pastored the Stokes Hall Circuit of Baptist Churches and currently serves as pastor of the Burchell Circuit of Baptist Churches, which he has pastored for over 20 years. Rev. Thomas is married to Marcia and has two children, Andrea and Dave-Andrew.
Rev. Karl Henlin serves as a Vice President in the Jamaica Baptist Union.
He began his Pastoral Ministry on September 1, 1987 in the Gregory Park Circuit of Baptist Churches in St. Catherine and continues to serve as its pastor. He was ordained on September 14, 1989. Rev. Henlin has served the Jamaica Baptist Union in several capacities, serving as President 2006-2008 and as Acting General Secretary 1999-2001. He is married to Lisa and together they parent 2 young adult sons, David & Philip.
Rev. Merlyn Hyde Riley was installed as General Secretary February 2023. She began her pastoral ministry in July 1999 at the Port Antonio Circuit of Baptist Churches in Portland where she was also ordained on August 20, 2001. Rev. Hyde Riley served as Associate General Secretary with responsibility for Youth, Education and Training of the Jamaica Baptist Union from 2006 until October 2021. She is married to Ainsworth and is blessed with two sons Gabe and Galen.
