Rev. Dwight Fraser

President

Rev. Dwight Fraser was installed as the President of the JBU in February 2024, at the 174th General Assembly. He is pastor for the Eltham and Angels Circuit of Baptist Churches in Spanish Town, St. Catherine. He previously served at the Waldenesia Baptist Church in Trelawny and the Morant Bay Circuit of Baptist Churches in St Thomas. He is married to Keron and they have two children DeAnna and Ajani.

Rev. Davewin Thomas

Vice President

Rev. Davewin Thomas, ordained in 1984, was elected vice president at the 174th General Assembly in 2024. He has served as pastor in the Stokes Hall and currently the Burchell Circuit in St. James since 2005. Additionally, he has held moderator positions in the Maldon circuit in 2006 and most recently in the Calvary circuit from 2020 to 2022. Reverend Thomas, married to Marcia, and are the parents of two adult children, Dave-Andrew and Andrea.

Rev. Luke Shaw

Vice President

Rev. Luke Shaw was elected vice president at the 174th General Assembly in 2024. Ordained in 1994, he has served as pastor in various capacities, including the James Hill circuit in Clarendon and the First Isthmian Baptist Church in Colon, Panama. Currently, he pastors the Linstead Circuit in St. Catherine, a role he’s held since 2006. He and his wife Claudette have two children, Zaynah and Andrew.

Rev. Merlyn Hyde Riley

General Secretary

Rev. Merlyn Hyde Riley was installed as General Secretary February 2023. She began her pastoral ministry in July 1999 at the Port Antonio Circuit of Baptist Churches in Portland where she was also ordained on August 20, 2001. Rev. Hyde Riley served as Associate General Secretary with responsibility for Youth, Education and Training of the Jamaica Baptist Union from 2006 until October 2021. She is married to Ainsworth and is blessed with two sons Gabe and Galen.

Mr. Ewan Millen

General Treasurer

Mr Ewan Millen is a member of the Mona Baptist Church where he has served in several roles. He is the immediate past church secretary, and has also served as chairman of the Finance and Administrative Committee. Ewan and his wife Jennifer are the parents of three adult children (Andre-Vaughn, Jodi-Ann and Janelle-Cheri). They have one granddaughter.

Rev. Robert Campbell

JBUMA Secretary

The Rev. Robert Campbell was elected Secretary for the Jamaica Baptist Union Mission Agency at the 2022 General Assembly. He is the pastor of the Old Harbour Bay Circuit of Baptist Churches. He previously served the Gibraltar Circuit. He is married to Delise and they have four children, Connilia, Astia, Charissa and Christophe.

Rev. Dr. Glenroy Lalor

Immediate Past President

The Rev. Dr. Glenroy Lalor demitted office as president in February 2024. He is pastor of the Bethel Baptist Church in Half-Way-Tree. Rev. Dr. Lalor has pastored the Port Maria Circuit and served as Baptist Warden at the United Theological College of the West Indies. Rev. Dr. Lalor is married to Dr. Sharon Lalor, and they have one son Dominic.
