Our friend and brother, the Rev. Dr. George V. Simpson, went home to be with the Lord this morning, Saturday, August 22, 2020. He brought his over four decades of full-time pastoral ministry to an end in December 2015,  having served as President of our beloved Union and pastor of the Stewart Town and Mt. Carey circuits.

We will long remember, with gratitude to God, his passion for the ministry and loyalty to the denomination, both of which remained strong even after he suffered that vicious attack on his life in 2008.

Let us remember his wife, Joan, children, other family members and loved ones as they adjust to his passing.
