17th George Liele Lecture

The Jamaica Baptist Union Mission Agency (JBUMA), through its Historical Society, the Jamaica Baptist Historical Society, presents the 17th George Liele Lecture, on Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

This year’s Lecture will be presented by Ms. Nadine Wilkins, Deputy Director of Legal Reform at the Ministry of Justice.

 “Jamaica’s first pandemic, the cholera epidemic of 1851: Lessons learned for today in the era of Covid-19”

 


The George Liele series of lectures is in commemoration of George Liele, founder of Baptist witness in Jamaica. It is aimed at informing our constituencies of Baptist history, heritage, and mission in Jamaica and the rest of the world.
